National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference 2019

Renewable Engine had a successful day at the National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference held in Dublin, Ireland.  Dr Alistair Quinn, Programme Manager at South West College, presented the project to the audience at the co-located National Sustainability Summit.  He was able to give an academic perspective to collaborating with industry through Renewable Engine and quantified the benefits of such collaborative research & innovation models.

The project also engaged with delegates throughout the day at the Renewable Engine exhibition stand where project staff were on hand to discuss research activity with delegates and explore potential collaborations with industry.  As part of this, a “pop-up seminar” was held in the exhibition space, with Dr Vinay Mulgundmath of Doosan Babcock invited to give an industry perspective to participating in the Renewable Engine project.

New approaches and technology have been introduced in recent years that have created significant organisational and process improvements.  The aim of the National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference is to showcase such innovative approaches and to disseminate the innovative research that underpins them.
