Photoelectrochemical Conversion of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into Fuels and Value-Added Products

IT Sligo’s Dr Vignesh Kumaravel has published a review article entitled “Photoelectrochemical conversion of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into fuels and value-added products” in ACS Energy Letters (ACS Energy Lett. 2020, 5, 2, 486-519, Publication date – January 8th, 2020 https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acsenergylett.9b02585).  ACS Energy letters is one of the top ten journals in the field of energy research with an impact factor of 16.33.  The conversion of CO2 is one of the optimum solutions with respect to addressing climate change and the energy crisis; this article discloses the recent advances, mechanism, reactor designs, kinetics, thermodynamics, commercialisation and future challenges for the photoelectrochemical CO2 conversion.  Listed as one of the most downloaded articles in recent months in ACS Energy letters, the major findings of this review article have also been published as a video on both YouTube and the journal website.  You can hear from Dr Kumaravel and other members of the IT Sligo Renewable Engine team here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDcyVjnAEjg&t=4s
